Small-group experience with a maximum of 10 guests. Visit a floating fishing community and discover the daily life of local fishermen. Guided by an experienced local guide with years of expertise. Enjoy kayaking in one of the largest saltwater lakes in Lan Ha Bay, where you may spot wildlife such as monkeys, Cat Ba Langur, squirrels, migratory birds, and various fish species. If the daily tide falls below 3 meters, you can snorkel to explore coral reefs and catch seafood. CB001

Half-Day Tour - Fishing Experience in Lan Ha Bay
This trip offers a fishing experience at one of the largest saltwater lagoons in Lan Ha Bay, located within the ecological conservation area of Cat Ba National Park. Locally known as Hang Vem Lagoon, the lagoon covers a natural area of approximately 100 hectares. The area features peaceful and untouched natural scenery. During the journey, visitors may encounter wild monkeys living freely on the surrounding limestone cliffs. The best time to enjoy lure fishing with artificial lures or live shrimp bait is from June to late October. During this season, anglers may catch several local fish species such as sea bream, red snapper, milkfish, and seabass. Guests can explore the lagoon by SUP, kayak, or local fishing boats, offering a closer connection with nature. -------------------------- During the remaining months, fishing locations are selected based on daily tide conditions. Fishing may take place at floating houses on Lan Ha Bay, around Cai Beo Floating Village, on rocky island cliffs, or directly from the boat. Guests will fish using natural bait. If you are lucky, you may catch grouper, sea bream, rabbitfish, or sand whiting. Our guide will arrange the best location to ensure an enjoyable and memorable fishing experience. The program also includes a visit to Cai Beo Floating Village, where guests can learn about the daily life of the fishing community living on small boats. The journey ends with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, creating a memorable experience. CB002

The Cat Ba Archipelago is located about 60 km from Hải Phòng city center by sea. It covers an area of 31,150 hectares and consists of 388 islands. The archipelago belongs to Cát Hải District, Hải Phòng City. In 2004, UNESCO recognized Cát Bà as a world biosphere reserve. In 2013, the Vietnamese government designated it as a national scenic site and special national heritage.
Most recently, in 2023, Cát Bà officially became part of the UNESCO-listed Hạ Long Bay – Cat Ba Archipelago World Heritage Site.

About Chans Tiến Anh Cat Ba Travel
Chans Tiến Anh was born and raised on Cat Ba Island, where his life has always been closely connected to the sea and the local fishing community. From a young age, he became familiar with fishing trips, floating fishing villages around the bay, and the untouched beauty of nature in this area.
After many years of working in different fields, he decided to follow his passion and become a local tour guide. With more than 16 years of experience guiding tours in Cat Ba, he has had the opportunity to accompany many international travelers exploring the island and the breathtaking beauty of Lan Ha Bay.
Through his years of guiding, he noticed that the number of visitors coming to Cat Ba has increased significantly. Along with this growth, more large cruise boats and busy tourist activities have appeared on the bay. While this development has helped boost local tourism, it sometimes takes away the peaceful and authentic natural experience that once defined the area.
With this in mind, Chans Tiến Anh Travel Cat Ba Agency was established with the goal of creating travel experiences that are closer to nature, more connected to local life, and focused on sustainable tourism.
The tours are designed for small groups, offering deeper and more meaningful experiences while respecting nature. Travelers have the chance to explore the untouched beauty of Lan Ha Bay through activities such as kayaking through caves and lagoons, visiting floating fishing villages, learning about the daily life of fishermen, swimming at quiet beaches, and enjoying the peaceful natural surroundings.
