Itinerary
DAY 1: HA NOI - CAT BA ISLAND - BY BUS
07:00 AM: Depart from Hanoi and travel approximately 3.5 hours via the Hanoi–Hai Phong–Cat Hai Expressway. From the pier, take a speedboat across the sea to Cát Bà Island. From there, you’ll transfer to your hotel in Cat Ba Town to check in, relax, and enjoy a local-style lunch.
In the afternoon, begin your adventure with a visit to the Cai Beo Floating Village – one of the oldest fishing villages in Vietnam, where the traditional lifestyle of local fishermen is still preserved.
Then, join a SUP (stand-up paddleboard) session to explore the most beautiful saltwater lagoon in Lan Ha Bay, where you can also swim and unwind amidst pristine nature.
In the evening, enjoy a delicious seafood dinner, marking the perfect end to your first day on the island.
Day 2: Explore Lan Ha Bay – Sunset & Bioluminescent Plankton
In the morning, enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then spend some relaxing time at Cat Co 1, Cat Co 3, or Tung Thu Beach, where crystal-clear water and soft white sand invite you to unwind or take photos.
You can have lunch at a local restaurant before your afternoon adventure.
12:30 PM: Begin your Lan Ha Bay discovery tour. Paddle your kayak through natural sea caves, and stop at a private beach for swimming or relaxation.
As the sun sets, enjoy a romantic beach dinner, followed by the magical experience of watching glowing bioluminescent plankton shimmering beneath the night waves – a moment you’ll never forget.
Day 3: Island Discovery & Farewell Cat Ba
In the morning, enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
Then join a motorbike tour to explore peaceful island villages and visit the Hospital Cave, a fascinating wartime relic hidden deep within Cat Ba’s limestone mountains.
03:30 PM: Your Bus will transfer you to Hanoi Old Quarter.
07:30 PM: You arrive at Ha Noi Old Quarter. Marking The end of a memorable journey filled with the natural beauty and local charm of Cat Ba Island.
