Discover Cát Bà – The Emerald Jewel of the Gulf of Tonkin
The Cat Ba Archipelago is located about 60 km from Hải Phòng city center by sea. It covers an area of 31,150 hectares and consists of 388 islands. The archipelago belongs to Cát Hải District, Hải Phòng City. In 2004, UNESCO recognized Cát Bà as a world biosphere reserve. In 2013, the Vietnamese government designated it as a national scenic site and special national heritage.
Most recently, in 2023, Cát Bà officially became part of the UNESCO-listed Hạ Long Bay – Cat Ba Archipelago World Heritage Site.

Hello! I’m Tiến Anh – a native of Cát Bà Island, born and raised among the sea and forested mountains of my homeland.
For over 15 years as a local tour guide, I’ve been passionate about discovering and sharing the peaceful, unspoiled corners of this natural heritage – the “hidden gems” that many travelers never get to experience.
I don’t offer large, crowded tours to popular tourist spots. Instead, I craft small, private journeys that allow you to connect more deeply with nature and the local life of Cát Bà.
You’ll have the chance to kayak through sea caves leading to hidden saltwater lagoons nestled among limestone mountains, visit floating fishing villages, and – depending on the day – even experience life as a fisherman: tying crab traps, removing mantis shrimp from the nets, or helping mend fishing lines. Or simply relax on a wild, secluded beach, savor freshly caught seafood, and breathe in the pure coastal air.
More importantly, I pursue sustainable tourism – supporting the local community, protecting the marine environment, and sharing my deep love for this land through every journey.
This is more than just a tour.
It’s a slow-living journey – meaningful, personal, and unforgettable.
